Aggreko buys US hire firm TuCo

USA: Aggreko has acquired TuCo Industrial Products (TuCo), an air conditioning equipment rental company of Lynnwood, Washington, for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 1979, TuCo specialises in providing temporary heat and air conditioning equipment to the construction, industrial, commercial and special events industries. The company serves customers throughout the greater Pacific Northwest region including Washington, Oregon, Alaska and lower British Columbia, including Vancouver. The acquisition will add more than 2,000 specialised assets to Aggreko’s rental fleet.

“Our growth strategy is focused on continued expansion throughout North America including the Pacific Northwest, and through targeted acquisitions such as that of TuCo,” said Aggreko MD Mel Parker.

Aggreko plans to integrate the operations of TuCo into its North America business.

Headquartered in Glasgow, UK, Aggreko was founded in the Netherlands in 1962. Its hire fleet includes air conditioners and chillers in addition to gas and diesel generators, load banks and heaters.
