Armacell supports Special Olympics

LUXEMBOURG: Insulation manufacturer Armacell is supporting Special Olympics Luxembourg and its participation in the 2019 Summer Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.

The Special Olympics World Games brings together more than 7,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Armacell’s €5,000 donation will especially support the tennis team and see the company actively involved in the federation’s 40th anniversary.

Special Olympics Luxembourg promotes sports as a way of helping people with intellectual disabilities to flourish and improve their integration and inclusion in society. For 40 years, the federation has been offering weekly training sessions and enabling participation in national and international competitions to 400 athletes in as many as 12 sports.

“This initiative is perfectly aligned with Armacell’s values and we are pleased to make a difference through this partnership,” said Armacell Group CEO Patrick Mathieu.
