BAC invests $16.5m in Dayton plant

USA: Baltimore Aircoil (BAC) is to invest $16.5m in the expansion of its  manufacturing operations at its factory in Dayton, Tennessee.

The investment comes following the acquisition in October of coil manufacturer Coil Design, a company with which BAC had worked as part of a joint venture since 2019.

The expansion comes after recent growth of BAC’s dry coil and adiabatic cooling equipment businesses. It will involve significant infrastructure improvements, including facility and site improvements, coil manufacturing equipment, material handling equipment and craneage. It will create 63 new jobs.

With its HQ in Jessup, Maryland, BAC also operates US factories in Milford, Delaware and Madera, California.
