Carrier reduces stake in Beijer Ref

USA: Carrier has sold 9.25 million B shares, valued at around $300m, in the Swedish refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler Beijer Ref.

The price was set at SEK290 per share and the sale is equal to approximately 7.9% of Carrier’s outstanding B shares. 

Following the Transaction, Carrier continues to hold approximately 30% of the Beijer Ref B share capital, approximately 22% of the Beijer Ref A share capital and approximately 26% of the Beijer Ref total votes.

Beijer Ref’s original acquisition of Carrier’s refrigeration wholesale operations in Europe and South Africa in 2009 gave Carrier 41.5% of the capital in the company and 33.3% of the votes.
