USA: Daikin is to assemble VRV air conditioners for the first time in North America.

The announcement coincides with the launch of the new VRV IV heat pump system in the USA. Until now, North American installations of VRV systems relied on imported systems.

The new assembly line is based at the 525,000ft² Houston factory of the Goodman air conditioning business it acquired in 2012 and has created an additional 250 jobs.

Daikin’s VRV IV heat pump systems, assembled in Houston, will be sold through a growing network of sales associates across North America.
