Epta sees sales soar above €1 billion

ITALY: Commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturer Epta is celebrating becoming a “one billion company” after seeing sales rise 29.6% to €1,197m in 2021.

The record results – significantly above pre-Covid-19 levels – recorded adjusted EBITDA of €136m, up 82% on 2020. This, combined with a strong increase in margins from 8.1% in 2020 to 11.4% saw adjusted net profit reach €66m, an impressive increase on the €21m in 2020. 

Growth occurred in all three of it business sectors – retail, food & beverage and after sales – with positive performances in all the main geographical areas in which the group operates. In Europe, in particular, the group’s turnover amounted to €898m, up 31% compared to 2020. The Americas was up 31% at €176m, compared to 2020, and up by 29% in APAC to €93m.
