Fujitsu acquires Australian ac contractor

AUSTRALIA: Air conditioning manufacturer Fujitsu General has acquired Australian service and maintenance company Precise Air Group (PAG).

Established in 2002, PAG is based in Sydney with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast. With an expanding national contracts portfolio, Precise Air Group services a diverse range of Australia’s largest companies, government entities, property owners and property managers.

The PAG business covers the design, installation, and servicing and maintenance of air conditioner equipment, and is said to be particularly strong in the small and medium size building maintenance business.

Fujitsu claims to be market leader in domestic air conditioners through the retail channel in Australia. It is also looking to expand sales for commercial air conditioners for small and medium size buildings in a market worth US$2.7bn. Service and maintenance is estimated to be worth a further US$2.27bn.

PAG will continue as a stand-alone business with all directors and the senior management team continuing in their current roles.

“PAG will be a wholly owned subsidiary of FGL and our intention is to operate PAG as a completely independent and stand-alone business,” Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand MD Philip Perham.

“This acquisition serves as a vehicle to provide better products and services that are aligned to our strategic direction and our strong intent to grow our dealer and commercial business through an expanded product range and comprehensive service offering,” he added.
