Güntner to invest €25m in Hungarian factory

HUNGARY: The Hungarian government is backing an investment of over €25m in an expansion of the Güntner-Tata heat exchanger product factory in Tata, near Budapest.
The Güntner-Tata company was founded in 1990 by German manufacturer Güntner and Tata Hűtőtechnika, formerly a state-owned refrigeration cooperative.
The Tata facility is Güntner’s largest production plant, manufacturing equipment and devices across the whole range of Güntner product lines: evaporators, condensers, air coolers, drycoolers and switch cabinets as well as special, customised solutions for European customers.
The Hungarian government will contribute HUF1.5bn (€4.8m) to the total investment of HUF8bn (€25.4m). The site will be expanded to include a logistics centre with a 9,000m² modern production facility and a 6,500m² warehouse.
