Heat pumps roll at Aira’s Polish factory
24th June 2024POLAND: Production is set to start at heat pump company Aira’s 55,000m2 production facility in Wroclaw, Poland.
The Swedish direct-to-consumer heat pump company, which launched last year, says it will pump €300m into the former Volvo bus factory, giving it a capacity of up to 500,000 heat pumps a year.
It will be used to produce its own-brand propane air-to-water units, designed and developed in association with fellow Swedish heat pump company ES Energy Save Holding AB.
Describing the production start up as a “significant moment” for Aira, chief product supply officer Peter Prem said: “We’ve rapidly transitioned the site into an Aira production facility and it’s with great pride that we are officially inaugurating the factory this week, a year after our launch.”
