Koxka success at European design awards
SPAIN: Commercial refrigeration cabinets from Koxka, the company saved from bankruptcy in 2015, have won four 2017 European Product Design Awards.
The European Product Design Awards were created to recognise the efforts of talented international product designers and reward the strategic thinking and imagination which goes into making great products.
The Koxka kMultidec RPC won a gold medal in the awards, while the kMultideck PCN, kCounter RPF and kCounter PCS were each awarded silver medals. All the models were designed by Spanish design company Dhemen and previewed at Euroshop in March.

Koxka and manufacturing partner Kobol were rescued from the administrator in 2015 and relaunched as the Kgroup. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength. Last year Koxka celebrated its 50th anniversary and achieved a turnover of €14m.
The Kgroup will generate 200 new jobs this year as part of a growth plan which targets sales of €80m in 2020. An investment of €14m in R&D is planned, with a 1700m² research centre to be devolved within the Koxka plant in Pamplona.
