Lu-Ve granted further €40m ESG loan

ITALY: Heat exchanger product manufacturer Lu-Ve has obtained a €40m sustainability-linked loan from the Italian bank BNL BNP Paribas.
The latest “positive loan” from the Italian banking giant is said to stipulate conditions which become even better for the company upon achieving precise sustainability objectives. Specificaliy, it is aimed at supporting the Lu-Ve Group’s contribution to the fight against climate change through the development of heat exchangers that use “natural” refrigerants.
Welcoming the the support for its development plans, Lu-Ve CEO Matteo Liberali said that his company had always shown great attention to ESG matters.
“Our research and development team is working, in advance of other market operators, on high energy-efficiency products, with natural coolants with reduced environmental impact, low noise levels, high reliability over time. Thanks to the agreement with BNL we will be able to accelerate our green transition and study even more innovative and cutting-edge applications,” he said.
Lu-Ve has already this year, received a €40m ESG loan from the Italian bank Banco BPM and a further €40m loan from the Italian investment bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP).
