No, we haven’t taken leave our senses. While Mitsubishi Electric’s red logo with three diamonds is well-known around the world, it has not been used in its home country for nearly 30 years.

In 1985 Mitsubishi Electric adopted the “Blue Mitsubishi” corporate brand logo in Japan to provide some sense of individualism within the Mitsubishi Group. The three red diamonds, derived from the family crests of the founders, were retained for the rest of the world.

Now the company intends to promote a unified image in all its markets by re-adopting the red diamond logo in Japan.
