Nominations open for J&E Hall Gold Medal

UK: Nominations are now open for the J&E Hall Gold Medal, the annual award for the most noteworthy practical contribution to innovation in RACHP technology.
Organised by the Institute of Refrigeration over the past 50 years, the award has honoured some of the industry’s most influential innovators and pioneers, including renowned figures such as Gustav Lorentzen.
The award carries a prize of £5,000 and is open to individuals or teams responsible for recent practical technological advancements in one or more of the following areas:
Practical applications of innovative designs;
RACHP installations, developments and technologies that have made an original contribution to the field;
Systems that demonstrate substantial potential, supported by evidence that they will be completed successfully;
Outstanding and significant work in a new or unusual area of design and installation.
Commenting on the award, Andrew Bowden, MD of sponsor J&E Hall, said: “The 50th anniversary of the J & E Hall Gold Medal is a proud milestone for our company and for the wider refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump community.

The Institute of Refrigeration is encouraging nominations from across the RACHP sector to help identify the next recipient of this prestigious accolade.
Nominations are open until 23 October.
