Ricardo Bristotti appointed Nidec GA president

BRAZIL: Nidec Global Appliance, owner of the Embraco brand, has appointed Ricardo Bristotti as its new president. He replaces Alberto Casnati. 

Bristotti joined Embraco’s former owner Whirlpool in 2011 as strategic planning manager. In the ensuing 15 years he worked in a number of supply chain roles becoming Embraco’s sales and marketing director at the time of its acquisition by Nidec in 2019. In 2021, he was appointed vice president of the Nidec’s Leroy Somer home appliances segment, transitioning to the commercial and Industrial platform and serving as business segment leader for the European and Asian markets. 

Commenting on his new role, Bristotti said: “As president, my focus will be on accelerating growth in both the commercial refrigeration and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning segments, while continuing to strengthen the market presence of our portfolio for residential, food service, medical and industrial applications.”
