Steve Gill wins Asia-Pacific award

AP SILVERTHAILAND: UK-firm Stephen Gill Associates has followed up its success at the US Stevie Awards in February by being named as a winner in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Derby-based consultancy has been named as a Silver Stevie Award winner in the New Business Service of the Year category.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the first business awards programme to recognise achievement in business in all 22 nations of the Asia-Pacific region.

More than 300 nominations from organisations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year in 18 categories including Customer Service Leader of the Year, Exporter of the Year, Fastest-Growing Company of the Year, and Woman of the Year, among others.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 50 executives around the world who participated in first-round judging this month.  A second international panel of judges will choose five Grand Stevie winners from among the Gold winners in early May.  The Grand Stevie winners will be announced at a gala banquet at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, South Korea on May 30.

The award will be a boost for the consultancy’s recently opened associate offices in the region. In February, the company opened two associate offices in Malaysia and, since then, a further office in Singapore.

“Winning such a prestigious business award is a reflection of the fantastically successful start we have had in Asia-Pacific,” said md Steve Gill.

At the time of the opening Steve Gill said: “We are expanding to support our European client’s expansion plans and also to provide specialist expertise to the rapidly growing local food production and cold-chain market. We are now able to offer truly local support and advice to those currently operating in the region as well as those considering a move there.”

Stephen Gill Associates are ACR specialist consultants formed 10 years ago with offices in the UK and Spain who have earned a reputation for offering practical solutions that are energy efficient.  They are extremely active in the food production and cold-chain sector of the industry.

“We have successfully secured several significant food and beverage production facility projects across the region as well as a major one in the Oil and Gas segment,” said Steve Gill.

“Health and Safety is another key growth area for us with our ammonia refrigerant safety audit programme proving to be extremely popular. We are already having to expand to meet the demand in several Asian countries,” he added.
