Takeshi Ebisu to spearhead General growth
25th March 2026
JAPAN: Takeshi Ebisu, a former director of Daikin, has been appointed representative director and CEO of General Inc.
The appointment announced at General Inc’s shareholders meeting, yesterday, was one of a number of management changes at the former Fujitsu General air conditioning business.
Koji Masuda former president and CEO of Fujitsu, has been made chairman of the board, with fellow Fujitsu senior executive officer Susumu Ohkawara becoming director and executive vice president.
Fujitsu General’s air conditioning became part of Paloma Rheem Holdings in August 2025, changing its name to General in January of this year.
Ebisu joined Paloma Rheem Holdings in 2023. He was previously president and CEO of Daikin’s US subsidiary Goodman Manufacturing until 2019. Before that he had spent nine years as executive vice president and board member of Daikin Industries.
This leadership transition is designed to accelerate management decision-making and ensure business growth both domestically and internationally.
Takeshi Ebisu will spearhead General’s business development, while Koji Masuda and Susumu Ohkawara will provide operational support for the management foundation.
Simultaneously, by reducing the number of directors and executive officers to create a leaner structure, the company aims to enable faster decision-making and more agile management.
