Trane completes LiquidStack acquisition

USA: Trane Technologies has completed the acquisition of liquid cooling technology company LiquidStack in a deal first announced last month.
According to Trane Technologies, the acquisition strengthens its position as a full‑service provider of advanced, sustainable thermal management solutions for mission critical operations, and unlocks new opportunities to scale LiquidStack’s innovative technology globally.
The company had previously made a minority investment in LiquidStack in 2023.
“By combining Trane Technologies’ end‑to‑end thermal management expertise with LiquidStack’s advanced high-density liquid, direct‑to‑chip, and immersion cooling solutions, we will be uniquely positioned to deliver one of the most comprehensive and adaptable suites of thermal management solutions in the market,” said Trane Technologies’ president, commercial HVAC Americas, Holly Paeper.
The acquisition includes LiquidStack’s manufacturing, engineering and research and development operations in Carrollton, Texas, and Hong Kong. LiquidStack will operate globally within the commercial HVAC business unit of the Trane Technologies Americas segment.
