Trane invests in building automation firm

IRELAND: Trane Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 49% stake in Kieback&Peter Group (K&P), a German company involved in building automation software and solutions.
Trane Technologies’ sees the investment digital and controls strategy and expands opportunities to accelerate climate innovation in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Founded in 1927 and headquartered in Berlin, Kieback&Peter specialises in intelligent building technology with proprietary hardware, software, and energy management solutions. It has more than 1,700 employees across 50 locations worldwide.
Trane Technologies has an option to assume full ownership of the company after a three-year period. The strategic partnership includes a commercialisation agreement enabling the two companies to offer highly complementary solutions to their respective customers across the region.

Kieback&Peter will continue to operate independently, led by managing partner Christoph Ritzkat.
