US AC and heat pump shipments up 21.7%

USA: US shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps totalled 1,023,571 units in June, an increase of 21.7% compared to June 2025. 

Shipments of air conditioners were up 26.8% to 605,033 units, while air-source heat pump shipments increased 15.1% to 418,538 units.

The latest figures reported by the AHRI put year-to-date combined shipments at 4,716,688 units, a 3% increase on the same period in 2025. 

Year-to-date shipments of central air conditioners increased 2.4% to 2,560,139 units, while heat pump shipments are up 3.8% at 2,156,549.
