US HVAC sales down 5.9%
10th March 2026USA: Sales by US HVAC distributors were down 5.9% in January, compared to last year.
The latest figures from distributors’ group HARDI was described by HARDI analyst Brian Loftus as “a disappointing way to start the year”, even though January 2026 had one less billing day than last January.
“We estimate the sales decline would have been closer to 1.4% with the same number of billing days,” he said.
In addition, the annual sales growth for the 12 months through January 2026 witnessed an increase of 2.3%.
