Vertiv to buy heat exchanger firm ThermoKey
24th March 2026
USA/ITALY: Critical digital infrastructure solutions provider Vertiv is to acquire Italian heat exchanger company ThermoKey SpA.
Founded in December 1991, ThermoKey is a leading manufacturer of heat rejection and heat exchange technologies, including dry coolers, air cooled condensers, and liquid cooling systems.
The company operates from a 32,000m2 factory in Rivarotta di Rivignano Teor, northeastern Italy. The company is well-known as a pioneer of aluminium microchannel technology with the introduction of its TKMicro heat exchangers in 2010.
The acquisition is expected to expand Vertiv’s thermal management portfolio and manufacturing capabilities, particularly in EMEA, and strengthen its ability to deliver comprehensive solutions for AI factories and high-density data centres.
“Through our work with ThermoKey, we have come to value its differentiated heat-exchange technologies, engineering depth, and relationships across OEMs and system integrators,” commented Vertiv CEO Giordano Albertazzi.
“This acquisition is expected to expand the options available to our customers as they adopt more efficient cooling strategies and build infrastructure designed to stay ahead of rapidly evolving compute demands.”
