Engie supplies largest R1234ze chillers

GERMANY: Engie Refrigeration has supplied three 2.4MW water-cooled Quantum chillers operating on low GWP refrigerant R1234ze for a large French pharmaceutical and chemical corporation.
This represents a record order for Engie’s largest Quantum chiller – each chiller employing eight oil-free Turbocor compressors.
Like all chillers, the models were made in traditional manner at the site in Lindau on Lake Constance and tested comprehensively on the test bed there before delivery.
Last year Engie Refrigeration claimed the world’s largest chiller installation using R1234ze, at a hospital in Sydney, Australia. That time the Lindau-based refrigeration specialist]supplied eight Quantum chillers, totalling 10MW, integrating them into an existing system.
