Carrier’s latest chillers and heat pumps

USA: Carrier’s latest additions to its line of water-cooled screw chillers and water-sourced heat pumps are the AquaForce 23XW and 23XQ.

The 23XW chiller is optimised for cooling applications, with nominal capacities ranging from 75 tons to 200 tons (264kW to 703kW), while the 23XQ heat pump delivers heating capacities between 960MBH and 2900MBH (281kW to 850kW). The 23XQ also provides 140ºF heating capability.

Both are designed for R1234ze(E) or R515B refrigerants and feature next-generation screw compressors optimised for part-load performance and liquid motor cooling for a wide operating envelope.

A Greenspeed intelligence VFD enables enhanced performance at off-design conditions.

The 23XW/XQ has the ability to react to changes in the system at a rate of 70% per minute.
