Climaveneta extends chiller range

Climaveneta-focs-60ITALY: Climaveneta has extended its FOCS60 range of air cooled chillers to include two new voltage versions.

Initially conceived with an electrical supply of 460V/3/60Hz and in 53 sizes, the range now includes two new voltages – 380V/3/60Hz and 230V/3/60Hz.

The new versions have the same features of previous range, ie exclusive plate or shell and tube evaporators, application flexibility and high efficiency EER values. Climaveneta maintains that the evaporators, in particular, have been accurately selected to ensure energy consumption reduction ranging from 40% to 60% if combined with the optional VRF system for the variable flow operation.

All units can be provided with partial heat recovery, allowing hot water up to 60°C (140°F) to be produced from the recovery exchanger. This smart energy management is particularly useful in those environments characterised by very high temperatures all year long, because it offers an alternative to the traditional auxiliary boiler, producing hot water while the chiller is working..

FOCS60 also ensures outstanding performance with the most extreme weather conditions where the units can easily be configured with the adoption of an HT kit. This special device allows the unit to achieve the required cooling capacity even when environmental temperatures are very high, ensuring a 100% safe operation up to 46°C when the unit is working at full load.

As for the 460V products, the 380V and 230V units are available in two different efficiency versions – FOCS60/K with power capacities ranging from 148 to 1745kW (42-496TR) and a FOCS60-CA high efficiency version from 313 to 1521kW (89-433TR), specially conceived for those applications where efficiency requirements are particularly binding.

The production of the new range will go alongside that of the existing range at Climaveneta’s manufacturing facilities in Bassano del Grappa and Pieve d’Alpago in Italy.
