CO2/water brazed plate heat exchanger

DENMARK: A CO2/water brazed plate heat exchanger designed specifically for CO2 transcritical systems is the latest introduction from Danfoss.

The model H48T-CH employs Danfoss’ Micro Plate technology for superior heat transfer and lower pressure loss.

Designed specifically for CO2 transcritical systems, the new heat exchanger is said to be perfect for single-phase heat recovery systems in supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Functioning as a gas cooler, condenser, sub-cooler and economiser, the heat exchanger’s lightweight and compact design requires no reinforced frame and allows for more compact CO2 systems.

The unit, measuring 126mm x 386mm, is available with up to 150 plates.

Working temperatures are from -196°C (-320°F) to 200°C (390°F). Maximum working pressure on the primary side is 140bar and 90bar on the secondary side. Capacity is up to 150kW.
