Danfoss improves industrial defrosting

DENMARK: Danfoss has unveiled a new defrost module aimed at improving industrial defrosting performance.
Launched under the title the Formula for Efficiency, the ICF defrost module combines the benefits of the Danfoss ICF valve station with liquid drain defrosting in one state-of-the-art industrial defrosting solution.
The combined solution makes it possible for engineers to equip an evaporator with ICF valve stations across wet suction, liquid, hot gas, and defrost drain lines.
The ICFD defrost module comes in one size, ICFD 20, spanning evaporators up to 200kW (58TR) and is fully compatible with ICF 15-4, ICF 20-4 and ICF 20-6.
The ICF defrost module is said to provide a number of benefits including lower energy consumption, reduced compressor loading, improved operational efficiency and better defrost performance.
