BELGIUM: Daikin has previewed its new all-in-one Altherma 4 X heat pump, combining air-to-air and air-to-water technologies and using R454C refrigerant.
Unveiled at this week’s ISH exhibition in Frankfurt, the Altherma 4 X combines both hydronic heat emitters and air conditioning indoor units, providing heating, cooling, and domestic hot water.
The Daikin Altherma 4 X is described as a highly compact system, capable of serving homes requiring low-temperature or high-temperature heating, whether through underfloor heating or radiators. Additionally, it offers air-to-air heating and cooling for areas where this solution is most appropriate.
It operates from one single outdoor unit using R454C, the A2L blend refrigerant with a GWP of 146.
The 4 X allows for the connection of up to four indoor air-to-air heating and cooling units, available in white, silver and matt black, There is also the possibility to integrate a domestic hot water tank.
