Mitsubishi expands M series splits

UK: Mitsubishi Electric has launched the MSZ-RZ R290, a new addition to its M Series range of split systems.

The new unit is a premium wall-mounted inverter heat pump system available in two sizes – 2.5 kW and 3.5 kW. Just 247mm deep, it boasts noise levels as low as 19dBA.

It can be controlled through built-in wi-fi and Mitsubishi’s MELCloud app and also uses advanced 3D i-see sensors to help detect room occupancy, to optimise airflow and temperature and minimise energy when the system isn’t required. The sensors also have a circulator mode, which automatically circulates air and eliminates cold spots within a room.

Using R290, the unit incorporates built-in sensors to provide early leak detection and has an energy efficiency rating of A+++ for both heating and cooling modes.

To support air quality, the unit also uses an integrated Plasma Quad filtration system to trap dust, allergens, PM2.5 particles, mould spores, and viruses.
