26th March 2025
BELGIUM: Trane is offering a R454B air-to-water heat pump as an A2L alternative to its recently launched R290-based Leaf heat pumps.
The Cube CXC, featuring an inverter scroll compressor, is described as an ideal option for replacing outdated fossil fuel heating systems.
The units can deliver up to 45°C leaving water at -15°C outdoor temperature and can produce sanitary hot water in the summer, with leaving water temperatures up to 60°C at outdoor air temperatures between 5°C and 35°C, and 55°C at ambient temperatures between -2°C and 46°C.
Seasonal space heating energy efficiencies are said to exceed 154% and the COP reaches up to 4.04.
Of compact design and small footprint, the units feature an integrated buffer tank and pump package. The units can handle external static pressure up to 200kPa.
The heat pumps are also being sold by Trane subsidiary Thermocold, branded as iMEX HP-N.
