Trane extends R1234ze chiller range

BELGIUM: Trane has expanded its Sintesis range of air-cooled screw chillers using low GWP refrigerant R1234ze.

The new model RTAF G extends capacities up to 1700kW making it suitable for most large commercial and industrial cooling applications that require high performance within a limited installation space.

The Sintesis range of chillers is compliant with all applicable EU Ecodesign Regulations under the Energy-related Products (ErP) framework Directive 2009/125/EC.

The launch of the first Trane chiller using R1234ze  last year was the company’s first foray into  models using the low GWP HFO refrigerant. In 2014, Trane became the first manufacturer to adopt the HFO refrigerant 1233zd(E) as an alternative to R123 in its Series E CenTraVac water-cooled centrifugal chillers.
