Discussing the skills shortage

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration’s Education and Training Committee is hosting an online discussion this week on tackling industry skills shortages.

The need to recruit new people to fill vacancies and retrain others to meet the demands of new technologies and refrigerants, all at a time when there is a shortage of training places and trainers to deliver, has become more critical than ever.

The online discussion will explore how these issues can be tackled in new ways, such as recruiting from non-traditional routes, setting up in-house development schemes and supporting improved local training provision.

The Tackling Skills Shortages online discussion takes place on Wednesday February 7 from 13:00 to 15:00 (GMT). Further information on this free event here.
