IOR webinar to address GB F-gas phasedown

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is to host a free webinar exploring the UK government’s recently announced consultation on reforming the HFC phasedown under the GB F-gas regulation.

The one-hour webinar on November 18 will bring together government and industry experts to explain the consultation, discuss its potential implications, and outline how the sector can coordinate an effective response.

Registration is required, and all registered attendees will receive a link to the recording after the event.

The webinar will be joined by Jacob Andresen of DEFRA who will explain the aims and background of the consultation, how the proposed changes align with wider UK climate goals and what the next steps will be in the policy development process.

Consultant Ray Gluckman, who has a deep understanding of the F-gas regulations at both the UK and European level, will discuss the potential impacts of the proposed phasedown, highlight the key issues for businesses to consider and the opportunities that may arise as the industry continues to transition towards lower-GWP alternatives.

In addition, the webinar will explain how industry groups will be responding to the review and how ACRIB is engaging with industry and government to share evidence on industry readiness and attitudes towards improving safety awareness and training for alternative refrigerants.

The session, which wil be chaired by Neil Roberts of ACRIB, will conclude with an open Q&A session.

Book your free place for the webinar, which will run from 10.00 to 11.00 (GMT) on November 18, on the IOR website.
