Air conditioning battle at Cooling Awards
UK: The leading air conditioning manufacturers are set to battle it out for honours at this year’s RAC Cooling Industry Awards.
Products from air conditioning heavyweights Toshiba, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Airedale, Johnson Controls, Ciat and LG are amongst a host of entries shortlisted for this year’s event which takes place in London in September.
In an event once dominated by retail refrigeration, this year’s shortlist reveals a greater predominance of air conditioning.
In a clash of VRF systems, Toshiba’s recently launched three-pipe heat recovery VRF, LG’s MultiV 5 and Daikin new R32 Sky Air A series will all compete with others for the Air Conditioning Product of the Year title. Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric’s R32 air conditioners will also come head-to-head In the Air Conditioning Innovation category.
Other intriguing contenders for the 16 categories are a new range of chemicals expected to be launched by Aspen Pumps next month and Honeywell’s involvement in the supply of HFO1233zd(E) refrigerant for chillers in the Channel Tunnel.
