Airedale extends 2015 training programme

Brazing-AiredaleUK: Airedale International has extended its training programme for 2015, with more than 100 days of tuition available at its Leeds training school.

A wide range of theoretical and practical courses are offered, with courses of interest to newcomers to the industry as well as those with experience.

Courses range from refrigeration and air conditioning basics to installation, commissioning, maintenance and design principles. A CITB Construction Skills approved centre, the cooling systems expert also offers industry recognised training in F-Gas J11, Essential Electrics and JO4 & JO5 Pipework & Brazing.

New for 2015 Airedale has also added one-day refresher sessions in F-Gas J11 and Essential Electrics to allow certifications to be kept up-to-date in line with legal requirements.

For larger groups, Airedale says it will work with clients to design tailored sessions covering topics such as psychrometrics, component identification and uses, sound and sound measurement, airflow in ducted systems and controls.

PJEasyThe British manufacturer has also now extended its training programme to clients, contractors, engineers and business partners throughout the Middle East. The portfolio combines Airedale’s more traditional courses in ACR and data centre technologies with elements from its portfolio of CIBSE accredited continuing professional development (CPD) sessions which have been well received within the UK since introduced early in 2014. CPD subjects available cover energy optimisation strategies including free-cooling technology and aisle containment, in addition to energy efficiency measurements and how they are considered as part of system design, low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and other topics.

Training manager, Keith Nicholls said: “We were one of the leading businesses to recognise the importance of sharing knowledge and best practice within the industry and to extend this to customers through a programme of value-for-money training sessions which we have continued to offer since the 1980s. More than 30 years on, customers still invest in training because they recognise the part it plays in designing and maintaining the most energy efficient, resilient cooling installations.

To support the theoretical classroom sessions, delegates are provided with opportunities to develop their practical skills using the dedicated air conditioning and electrical training rigs and brazing assemblies. Training is delivered by fully qualified Airedale instructors with many years’ experience in engineering, refrigeration, installation and service, and is carefully tailored to the needs of the delegates attending each session.
