Airedale grabs another Datacentre award
UK: Airedale has picked up a further trophy at the DCS Awards, this time for its AireFlow adiabatic ahu.
A winner last year in the Datacentre Energy Efficiency Product category with its Smartcool precison PAC, the Leeds-based cooling specialist this year saw its Aireflow unit pick up the award for Cooling Product of the Year.
The DCS (Data Centre Solutions) awards are held annually in London and are designed to reward the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in data centre arena.
The result of a collaboration between Airedale and ahu manufacturing sister company Barkell, which joined the Airedale group in 2014, the AireFlow indirect adiabatic air handling unit is said to be capable of delivering 100% free-cooling under ASHRAE conditions with 32% reduction in air volume, saving fan power input.
Commenting on the company’s success, Airedale md Clive Parkman said: “Last night’s award is a terrific vote of confidence in the expertise of our highly skilled team of people and our commitment to developing technologies that set the benchmark in terms of efficiency and resilience and provide best value for data centre owners.”
