2115_fullimage_SMARTCDF100-3aLR_300x285 (1)UK: Airedale won the Datacentre Energy Efficiency Product of the Year trophy for its SmartCool PAC system at Thursday night’s Data Centre Solutions Awards in London.

The Leeds-based air conditioning manufacturer was also runner-up with the same product in the Datacentre Power and Cooling Product of the Year category.

Developed to meet demand for a high performance, ultra energy-efficient, dedicated chilled water PAC system, the SmartCool CW is said to deliver up to 30% more cooling kW/m2 when compared with competitor units, keeping footprint to a minimum to free up premium IT space.

New Product Development Director for Airedale, George Hannah, said: “It is a terrific achievement to win another award. This is a direct consequence of high calibre engineers working with the latest developments in virtual engineering and CAD technologies.

“This particular award is decided by public vote and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to make sure we were named ‘number one’.”
