ASHRAE Scotland now operational

UK: ASHRAE president Tim Wentz visited Glasgow’s Strathclyde University last week to formally inaugurate the new ASHRAE Scotland Section.

The establishment of the section follows official approval at the ASHRAE Winter Conference in Las Vegas at the end of January and subsequent receipt of the ASHRAE Charter.

Charlie McKenzie, regional development manager at Bouygues Energies & Services (UK) is the Scotland Section’s first president. President elect is Gordon Morris of consultants Morris Engineering Design Services. They are supported by treasurer Duan Wu, a researcher at Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe, and secretary Aizaz Samuel, a research fellow at the University of Strathclyde.
