Aspen cyclists pedal for charity

Joe Rose and some of the team present the cheque to Mikayla Bernstein of Chestnut Tree House

UK: The efforts of a team of intrepid cyclists from Hailsham-based condensate pump manufacturer Aspen has raised nearly £2,500 for charity.

The team of 11 staff members cycled from Aspen Pump’s headquarters in Hailsham, East Sussex to the hq of its Paris based distributor Salina SAS in Paris – a distance of 130 miles in just 24 hours.

A total of £2,445 was raised for the local Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, a Sussex-based charity providing care and support for children and young adults who are unlikely to reach adulthood.

Joe Rose, head of group marketing at Aspen Pumps, presented the cheque to Mikayla Bernstein, corporate fundraiser at Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice at the company’s premises on Wednesday.
