Axair to sell Sanden’s CO2 compressor

UK: Axair Refrigeration has signed an exclusive supplier partnership with Japanese CO2 refrigeration technology company Sanden.

Under the terms of the deal, Axair Refrigeration becomes UK distributor for all Sanden compressor technology including its CO2 horizontal compressor.

Debuted at this year’s Euroshop, this ground-breaking compressor is said to be the first that can be installed in a standalone integral refrigeration cabinet. It has a space-saving low profile which would allow for an extra shelf in a commercial refrigeration unit. The compressor can cater for a unit up to 12ft and is said to save over 25% of energy compared to its HFC R410A counterpart.

Axair Refrigeration was established last year as a sister company to Axair Fans, the industrial and commercial fan supplier.

Business development manager Robert Burn, a former managing director of refrigeration wholesaler Hawco, commented: “Axair Refrigeration is passionate about new technology and innovations especially those that continue to improve energy efficiency and help to meet stringent targets imposed upon our customers. The CO2 horizontal compressor is ideal for the commercial refrigeration market.”

Sanden Environmental Solutions offers versatile CO2 remote condensing units and CO2 modules for plug-in cabinets now in Europe with cooling capacities from 0.6kW to 3kW.
