Daikin appoints Oceanair as distributor

UK: Oceanair UK has been appointed as a distribution partner for Daikin in the UK.

The deal with Daikin is an addition to Oceanair’s existing distribution deals with Fujitsu and Panasonic.

With locations in Mansfield and Crawley, Oceanair will now expand its offering to include Daikin’s VRV, Sky Air A-series and Altherma heat pump technologies.

Oceanair managing director Tony Evanson said the company was thrilled to be working with Daikin but was quick to point out that the new deal was unconnected with Panasonic’s recent acquisition of AMP. “We have been in discussion with Daikin since February, and the deal was concluded prior to the Panasonic announcement.

“With our current product offering, we already know how to be competitive and develop innovative, energy efficient solutions,” he added. “By expanding our range to include Daikin products, we aim to grow the business by adding new technologies to target new business areas. That is why we have invested time and effort in training our staff and updating our website, in order to improve our customer service and ensure the success of this launch.”

Daikin UK sales director Mark Dyer said that Daikin had been particularly impressed by Oceanair’s dedication to providing a top quality service to their customers. “The Oceanair team is highly focused and has already completed product training,” Dyer confirmed.
