Daikin boosts Hubbard fridge offering

Daikin UK refrigeration men Paul Cornwell (left) and Nick May have transferred across to Hubbard

UK: Hubbard Products says it can now offer one of the widest ranges of convenience store heating and cooling solutions following the integration of Daikin UK’s refrigeration offering.

The move follows Daikin Europe’s acquisition of Hubbard’s owner, the Italian refrigeration group Zanotti, last year. In May, the Cooling Post revealed that Hubbard Products was to take product leadership for the complete Daikin and Hubbard refrigeration range with Daikin UK’s refrigeration specialists transferring to Hubbard.

Daikin UK refrigeration manager Paul Cornwell and refrigeration specialist Nick May both transferred to Hubbard Products earlier this year.

As a result of these moves, Daikin’s heat recovery Conveni-Pack and Zeas condensing units are all now available through Hubbard Products, along with technical support.

“The ability to integrate Daikin’s significant knowledge and expertise of low leakage highly efficient refrigeration equipment with Hubbard Products established commercial refrigeration team will allow us to offer one of the widest ranges of convenience store heating and cooling solutions in a single package,” said Hubbard Products commercial director Dougie Stoddart.

Paul Cornwell joined Daikin UK in 2015, from his role as business development manager at Integral. His varied career in refrigeration spans 20 years in a number of roles as an engineer, service supervisor and in numerous management roles across service and contracting organisations.

Nick May has worked at Daikin UK for over 12 years, joining them from Ryan Jayberg in 2005. He has considerable experience of the design and promotion of refrigeration products, including heat recovery and alternative technology solutions for “natural” refrigerants for the convenience store sector.
