ETL listing as Bitzer backs Britain

ETL-logoUK: With its Varipack compressor control accepted for inclusion on the UK’s Energy Technology List, German compressor manufacturer Bitzer has reaffirmed its commitment to the UK market.

The Carbon Trust’s acceptance of the the Varipack inverter-based compressor control system to the ETL list enables businesses to claim 100% first year enhanced capital allowances on the cost of the equipment.

Following the announcement, Kevin Glass, managing director of Bitzer UK, sought to reaffirm the company’s long-standing commitment to the UK market following the recent EU referendum result.

“We understand that the recent EU referendum result has caused some uncertainly for business. However, I can reassure suppliers and customers that our long-term strategy remains unaffected. This means not only maintaining but growing our position as the leading, most trusted and respected compressor supplier in the UK.

“As I underlined in a recent interview, the UK is a key market for Bitzer, not only in terms of value but in terms of innovation and technical creativity. This is extremely important for us and, in turn, enriches the wider Bitzer group globally. We believe the UK will always generate new ideas and push boundaries, and – as we have done for many decades already – Bitzer UK will be here to support the pioneers helping to shape the industry’s future.”
