Ex-military man is new FETA supremo

UK: FETA has chosen another ex-military man as chief executive in succession to Cedric Sloan.
Russell Beattie was previously ceo of the John Smith Trust, a charity promoting social justice and good governance around the world. This followed a successful military career which included four years as director of the MOD’s British Forces Post Office and nearly three years as commandant at the Defence Logistics and Supply School.
He succeeds Cedric Sloan, who will be retiring in September. Cedric joined FETA as director general in 1998 after a long army career. His predecessor Ron Baker was ex-RAF.
