Graeme Fox joins BESA

Graeme-FoxUK: Former AREA president Graeme Fox is joining the technical department of UK contractors’ group BESA as senior mechanical engineer.

An active member of BESA (Building Engineering Services Association) for many years in his capacity as a partner in Dundee-based Specialist Mechanical Services, Mr Fox has served as chairman of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Group and as a member of the Council of the association. He is also a board member AREA, the European contractors’ body, and a director of ACRIB.

A fellow of the Institute of Refrigeration and winner in 2014 of the Industry Champion title at the National Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Awards, Graeme Fox was centrally involved in the UK and international negotiations that led to the implementation of the F-gas regulations, and is currently representing European contractors in the development of a global refrigerant management initiative in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme.

“I am delighted to be able to welcome Graeme to the BESA’s professional staff,” commented technical director Tim Rook.

“His first-hand experience as a contractor, along with his long involvement in industry issues at both UK and European level, will enable us to make a great deal of progress in the some of our key sectors, including f-gas, refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps, as well as general engineering practice.”
