Malcolm Harling (centre) receives his award from CEDA chair Kirstin Hatherley Bramwell and past chair Iain Munro

UK: Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director of Kings-Lynn-based refrigeration manufacturer Williams, has received a special award for his contributions to the UK catering equipment sector.

Harling received the Legacy Honour at the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) awards dinner last week. The awards recognise “outstanding individuals who have played a role in creating a tangible legacy that has made a considerable positive difference, enriched lives, served with dedication, passion and commitment and have cast an indelible history within the UK catering equipment sector.”

The award was presented by former CEDA chair Iain Munro presented the award, who commented: “Malcolm leads with great skill, energy and drive. He has always ensured that Williams were dedicated and engaged CEDA partners, but it is his involvement with FEA (the Foodservice Equipment Association) that demonstrates his commitment to and passion for the wider industry.”

Harling has been Williams’ sales and marketing director since 2000, having previously worked at sister company Falcon as national sales manager.
