Harp announces availability of R449A

DuPont-Opteon-XP40UK: Harp International has announced the availability of a range of lower GWP refrigerants, including the Chemours R404A replacement Opteon XP40 (R449A).

In anticipation of the expected increase in R404A refrigerant replacement projects, Opteon XP40, also known as R449A, is available through Harp International’s exclusive distributor agreement with refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler Dean & Wood.

“As users become increasingly aware of its class-leading performance characteristics this HFO blend, low GWP replacement for R404A and R507 in commercial refrigeration has been specified for a series of store refits by major retailers,” says Harp International.

The range of Opteon replacement refrigerants available through Dean & Wood include Opteon XP10 (R513A) to replace R134a in refrigeration and chiller applications and Opteon XP44 (R452A) to replace R404A in transport refrigeration and in low temperature applications where a low discharge temperature is an important requirement.
