Hitachi appoints PAD as distributor

Agreeing the deal (l to r): PAD IT manager Edward Callaghan, Gboyega Obafemi, Mark Houghton, PAD sales director Lynne Ford and Hitachi national distribution manager Shaun Neuchterlein

UK: Surrey-based air conditioning distributor Pure Air Distribution (PAD) has signed a new distribution partnership agreement with Hitachi Air Conditioning Europe.

PAD was formed earlier this year by a group of former Space Airconditioning staff as a distributor of Haier air conditioners.

Effective immediately, Pure Air Distribution will now also offer the full range of Hitachi air conditioning products nationwide. This will be backed by PAD’s own dedicated pre- and post-sales technical support.

“Although a relatively new business, the team behind Pure Air Distribution have been in the industry for many years, building strong relationships with both consultants and contractors,” said Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning MD Gboyega Obafemi.

“Reflecting Hitachi’s own founding principals, Pure Air Distribution are committed to delivering air conditioning excellence and exceeding customer expectations,” he added.

Pure Air Distribution MD Mark Houghton said his company was excited about the new opportunity, describing Hitachi as “a forward thinking manufacturer, which offers quality products coupled with a commitment to outstanding customer service”.
