Ice cream: get stuck in

ica040UK: Refrigeration equipment suppliers are being invited to participate at the UK Ice Cream Expo next February.

The industry’s trade body – The Ice Cream Alliance – is launching an initiative to maintain a strong supply chain by encouraging potential suppliers to promote their services at the Ice Cream Expo next year in Harrogate.

“The ice cream sector is expected to keep growing for at least the next five years according to the latest research, generating a strong demand for a range of goods and services,” said Zelica Carr, chief executive of The Ice Cream Alliance.

“We want to encourage those companies who may not have previously supplied the ice cream sector to promote their products to our members and customers at this unique event.”

To help them take advantage of the opportunities, the organiser is offering a 5% discount for first time exhibitors at the Expo.

The event is the largest of its kind in the UK and is dedicated solely to the ice cream industry. Last year’s event at the same venue attracted over 1,900 visitors.

“Ice cream makers are constantly looking for new flavours and ways to innovate as well as needing a range of services from coffee and associated equipment suppliers, refrigeration, uniforms, cleaning materials and fixtures and fittings for their parlours and shops,” added Zelica Carr.

The three day Ice Cream Expo will be held on February 17th -19th 2015 at the Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate.
