ICS promotes West to chief exec

Simon-WestUK: ICS Cool Energy, has promoted group finance director Simon West to group chief executive.

Simon joined ICS in 2011 after a number of financial directorships with leading companies, including over 18 years at Colt International.

He will continue to work from the ICS headquarters in Totton, Southampton and will work to  develop and implement the company’s growth strategies.

Commenting on his new appointment, Simon said: “We have increased external sales resources by 15% across the group in the last 18 months, and to reach our ambitious 2016 growth target I will be looking to continue this investment.”

Phil Wilson, chairman of ICS Cool Energy, said: “The success of ICS Cool Energy has enabled us to invest in our core business and expand into new territories.” Expressing his delight in the appointment, Wilson added: “I am confident he will help us to continue to identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base across the group.”
