Identifying refrigerant/compressor combos
31st October 2017UK: FSW has produced a special newsletter identifying which refrigerants are suitable for use with which manufacturers’ compressors to replace R404A.
The refrigeration wholesaler says it has produced the new leaflet in response to the confusion being reported by its customers.
It explains that there is no such thing as a drop-in replacement for R404A and charts show which R404A replacements are approved by manufacturers, but more importantly at what operating conditions.
“When it comes to R404A replacements, nothing is straight forward at the moment, but we hope that this guide makes it a little easier which R404A replacements to choose depending on the application,” a spokesman said.
